MLB Predictions for the 2010 season

With the MLB season set to start in a few minutes with the tiresome rivalry of Yankees-Red Sox, it's time for my utterly astounding (or useless, depending on your perspective) predictions.

AL EAST

  1. New York Yankees
  2. Tampa Bay Rays*
  3. Boston Red Sox
  4. Baltimore Orioles
  5. Toronto Blue Jays

AL CENTRAL

  1. Chicago White Sox
  2. Minnesota Twins
  3. Detroit Tigers
  4. Cleveland Indians
  5. Kansas City Royals

AL WEST

  1. Seattle Mariners
  2. Anaheim Angels (I REFUSE to acknowledge them as LA)
  3. Texas Rangers
  4. Oakland A's

NL EAST

  1. Philadelphia Phillies
  2. Atlanta Braves
  3. Florida Marlins
  4. New York Mets
  5. Washington Nationals

NL CENTRAL

  1. Cincinnati Reds (yes, you heard it here first!)
  2. St. Louis Cardinals
  3. Milwaukee Brewers
  4. Chicago Cubs
  5. Houston Astros
  6. Pittsburgh Pirates

NL WEST

  1. Los Angeles Dodgers (the TRUE LA baseball team!)
  2. San Francisco Giants* (it doesn't pain me to put them below the Dodgers!)
  3. Colorado Rockies (not enough pitching to hang with LA and SF)
  4. Arizona Diamondbacks (still a few years away)
  5. San Diego Padres (getting better, and it wouldn't surprise me to see them in fourth)

AL PLAYOFFS

ALDS: Rays over White Sox; Yankees over Mariners

ALCS: Rays over Yankees

NL PLAYOFFS

NLDS: Dodgers over Reds; Giants over Phillies

NLCS: Dodgers over Giants

WORLD SERIES: Dodgers over Rays in six games.

PLAY BALL!!!

As you can probably tell, I'm a Los Doyers fan. I would like to go to AT&T Park to catch a Giants game sometime, hopefully this season or next.
